Brian Lee & the Orbiters Identity Theft, charted at #15 in the February 2012  Living Blues Radio Charts for world-wide blues radio airplay!  
Founded as America’s first blues publication in 1970, Living Blues magazine has set the standard for blues journalism around the world. Additionally, on the Roots Music Radio Charts, "Identity Theft" placed in the top 10 for fifteen weeks, hitting #1 for two weeks, for Washington roots artists receiving airplay nationwide.

The Orbiters fourth album, In Orbit released on August 1, 2013.  It includes five new originals plus some favorite covers - 12 songs in all and it's a blast!   In Orbit is receiving strong radio play on over 300 radio stations around the globe. It spent 16 weeks on the Roots Music Chart  for nationwide radio airplay of Washington based roots artists, with three weeks at #2.  It also hit #6 on the Blues Debut chart when it debuted in August. In Orbit was also nominated for the 2014 "Best of the Blues" award from the Washington Blues Society.  Take a listen on our Music Store page!

Brian Lee & the Orbiters win 2014 Best of the Blues Awards for "Best Blues Act" and "Best Traditional Blues Act"! 
 
Brian and the Orbiters band members have been honored in 2014 with two Washington Blues Society "Best of the Blues" awards, for Best Blues Act" and "Best Traditional Blues Act"!  In 2013, the band also received the WBS BB award for Traditional Blues Act.  In 2012, their Identity Theft album received the award for Best Recording, and Brian received the award for Songwriter.  Past BB award nominations include Brian for Slide Guitar in 2013 and 2011, Male Vocalist in 2010, Hank for Bass in 2012 and 2013, Russ for drummer in 2013, and band nominations for Blues Act in 2010, 2008, and 2003, as well as Traditional Blues Act in 2010 and Recording (Falling Leaves) in 2006. Thank you WBS members for the wonderful reccognition of these awards and nominations!
